Their debut mix album...
Layo and Bushwacka! present their first mix album....and they do it in style.
'All Night Long' is Layo and Matthew Bushwacka's monthly club night at their spiritual home, The End. 'All Night Long' means exactly that. Layo and Matt taking control of the decks from beginning to end, throwing down the great and the good, the new and the old, for one of the finest nights around. This is their base camp. The place where they can stretch out, experiment and road test new styles and sounds within the confines of a homecoming party of friends and family. And it rocks!
With two faultless and hugely successful artist albums already under their belts, it was pretty clear that L&B's debut mix album was always going to be something special. 'All Night Long' is a two CD affair that combines all of the elements of their sound into a compulsive collage. We're talking hip-hop, electro, breaks, deep house, early acid, funk, soul, techno..whatever it takes.
Taken from the same palette as their End residency, the duo blend a set of forgotten classics, up to the minute finds, reworks of their own productions and exclusive Layo and Bushwacka! edits of party favourites into one almighty mix. Old school cuts from Newcleus, Stasis and Dread Flimstone sit next to future classics from Seelenluft, Agoria, Pyromaniac Gardeners (aka Groove Armada), Clyde and Detroit Experiment. Rare Layo and Bushwacka! mixes of Bebel Gilberto, Depeche Mode and Orbital sit alongside exclusive live re-edits of Sha Lor, Fast Eddie and Sly & The Family Stone - stoking the flames on this special mixdown. It's the sound of two sonic connoisseurs at work....the outlaw spirit of eclecticism safe in their hands!
